This picture is too good to be true! This means Mama and I really can make our own doughnuts! We've thought about it often.
Were they as good as they look?
I've read the story in Farmer Boy-- Almanzo's
mother made delicious twisted doughnuts!
No not really, well; we had just eaten Krispy Kreme with the Morton's so they weren't that good. I am going to try another recipe though.

Krispy Kremes are good,but I love that you made homemade ones too Dearies!!We make them sometimes out of whole wheat,and all you could say is ...they're filling...LOL! The boys are so sweet thuogh and eat them anyway. :)
Wow! Whole wheat? I would say they would be filling! LOL! Several people have told me to make cakes with whole wheat, because it is much more wholesome! Well, whole wheat bread is delicious, but I'd rather make one unwholesome cake a year than many VERY sad nutritous cakes. :)
LOL! Yes my dear!Of course I love the pound cake you brought one time! Was it whole wheat? Also there's no better cookie than Abby dears chocolate chip bars! Mmmmm.
