Le bon fire
After our dinner we asked the bigger guy's if they would not mind starting us a fire. They were most obliging and before we could make a pot of fresh coffee, the whole backyard was a burst of bright flames! We had a rather large fire but it finally burned down to the point that we could gather around to 'toast' our marshmallows ( several were caught on fire and could be seen flung in the air in quite an amusing display of agility and dismay) After we were 'warmed' from our campside snack, we girls decided to promenade around the yard. This was indeed a great idea if we could have but only seen where we were dancing as the guy's had been so thoughtful in turning out the lights (for the camping effect of the stars and the hiding of our house) We also dodged the dirt bike which the guy's were riding without headlights. LOL. After swirling around in circles we gathered around Miss Katie with our hymnals and I turned on the Japanese lantterns in the barn that we use for dancing. The guy's then assembled with their instruments with the exception of Michael, and we girls sang until the adults returned. We then tripped up to the house and waved the Morton's farewell.
