Smithy News

I know, I can't believe it either, LOL I'm sitting here at the computer the day that our house shall be filled with guests and I am blogging. Hmm.. well, you gotta take a lunch break at some point :) This past week and a half has found a slight change of events in the smithy house as Uncle Mark and his son Nick from TN. arrived for a week to help Dat remodel a house. so, every morning finds us girlies in the kitchen preparing breakfast and lunch for our dear boys. By 7am everyone has left their comfy beds and found their way to the table. We have found that perhaps we should abondon our usual midnight schedule and get to bed a little earlier. LOL. At 8 after breakfast, and family devotions we wave adieu to all of the men ceptin Yerik and Ivo who are our house helpers. Beth and Rachie have been sewing, tending to the garden, Beth has taken over the cooking and my how we have eaten! I have enjoyed her delicious and abundant meals! Rachie is always sewing, morning noon and night until she hits the bed, she is sewing. Madi and Ivo are doing great! The voice of Ivo rings throughout the house as he repeats everything we say and sing. If you were to pass him by you might hear him say "good morning, tshank yuuu,, your velcome, may i please be esckuuused please? Yes? kresshant smhell? Yerrik no!" LOL. What a ham! He is always so eager to help and picks the garden and cuts up the produce with Beth, helps Rachel sew, brings down the dirty laundry, and helps me cook and loves to vaccuum! Isn't that wonderful?! Madi is a little mama, she tends to the three little boys and enjoys writing, cooking, drawing, helping Rachie sew, setting the table, and helping "Mama" as she so lovingly calls her. Arman and Nick are off to work and come back tired and dirty but ever to proud to be working "with the men"

Sunday morning, to my great excitment found my dearly beloved betrothed at my side for the day! After morning service and a wonderful lunch, we decided to head south for a few adventures! I so enjoyed my darling companion and we soon headed out for a drive that lasted for most of the afternoon! Posted by Picasa
Charlie and Katie our adorable chauffers! Posted by Picasa
40 minutes later we turned onto this lovely dirt road and pulled up to our destination. My first glimpse was of a man atop his tractor in the usual farmers array pulling a bale of hay and waving a friendly hello. We hopped out and followed Charlie to a shed where to our joy we found the fresh cows milk! I peeked behind the shed and stared at the many pens of ducks, dogs, and other farmyard animals. Posted by Picasa
after getting our milk, we strolled back to our car stepping over the curious kittens and strutting rooster. Posted by Picasa
we then drove west to the next town over, meansville, a tiny dot on the map mainly consisting of our various relatives and beautiful rolling hills with trees and farms. We enjoyed a few hours of fellowship and laughter!  Posted by Picasa
