Saturday afternoon I had been inside all day and suddenly got the urge to go in the woods. The little boys were very obliging and volunteered to escort us ladies on an exploration trip. Miss Addi may, Martha, Bethy, Mrs. Lummus and her twins, Mariah, alyssa, and Gabby joined us and we set off! The weather was freezing and since it had just quit raining a few hours before the creek had swelled and we had a jolly time crossing in the freezing cold water. Especially when the little bridge broke when I was crossing. I gave up all hopes of staying dry and plunged into the icyness!
