I've always called it a tatting shuttle. Is it called a needle instead?
But oh I think it's lovely that your tatting lace, Bethy! Mine is a hopeless mess. Whenever I pick it up to continue I have to re-teach myself the steps and eventually I unravel everything and start over. :) My smocking ability is a little, tiny-bit better. LOL!
Hey Ivy! It is a shuttle. Poor kressy kept hearing me talk of a needle so that's what she thought it was. I didn't know you could tat! I am getting along terribly so any help you could give would be VERY appreciated! Hope to see you soon! Love,Bethy
As Emma Woodhouse said, "I'm afraid I lack the talent." My tatting skills are very poor, indeed! Mama's auntie Irene (isn't that the sweetest name?) taught her tatting and she's made a few pieces of lace!
You've inspired me, Bethy, to hunt around for my shuttle and ask Mama to show me how again. :)
