Visit with the Pethtels

After our return home on Monday from the Mortons, The Pethtel's arrived Tuesday evening with their 5 children, 2 dogs, and 2 birds. We girls stayed up rather late singing and watching "Return of The Groom" The next morning at 5:30, my alarm went off and I jumped up to get Rachie and Charlie off to the airport. For Rachies 16th birthday, my auntie's and Grandmother are taking her to NYC! Our day was spent watching movies from the San Antonio Film Fest, a walk on the track, singing, cooking, eating, laughing, and then riding our dirt bike with a marshmallow roast around a lovely warm campfire! After a late supper we were all seated around the table when all of the sudden we got this hankerin for some ice cream! The freezer was devoid of such items so a spontaneous trip was suggested and we started off with Charlie as our driver, and Nick and Arman as our escorts. Our escorts had with them their two play weapons and whilst at the check register, I noticed that a large police man meandered our way. After sauntering up, he stood looking at me and the little boys with his thumbs inside jacket and a puzzled expression upon his face.
Our ice cream was accompanied by our favorite "Pride and Prejudice" where we then fell to sleep. The Pethtels departed this morning after breakfast.

You forgot the rousing rendition of the Hallelujah! Chorus - now that was fun making a joyful noise unto the Lord! We were so inspired the Pethtels have started their own family choir.
